Installation Steps
Many people may be unfamiliar with the installation of electric garage doors, and consequently, they may fail to provide them with optimal protection. However, if you understand the proper installation procedure, you will be better equipped to maintain the door effectively. Garage doors are widely used in daily life; the majority of them are automatic or remote-controlled models.


Track Installation
Based on the width and height of the door panels, determine the mounting positions for the two vertical tracks. Use a spirit level to ensure they are plumb, then secure them in place using M8×41 mm square-head screws. Use a tape measure to accurately verify the spacing between the horizontal tracks themselves, as well as the distance between the horizontal tracks and the wall. Use a spirit level to ensure the horizontal tracks are perfectly level. Finally, use M6.4×14 mm pan-head screws and hexagonal nuts to fasten the horizontal track connectors to the horizontal tracks and the vertical track mounts. Fabricate two triangular brackets using slotted angle steel; attach them to the ends of the horizontal tracks using M6.4×14 mm pan-head screws and nuts, and then secure the brackets to the ceiling or wall using M8×70 mm expansion bolts.


Torsion Spring Installation
Slide the torsion spring center bracket, nylon bushing, fixed flange, the torsion spring (selected to match the weight of the door body), locking flange, cable drum, and bearing bracket onto the galvanized steel shaft in the correct sequence (ensuring proper left/right orientation). Verify that each component is installed correctly. Secure the torsion spring center bracket to the short wooden header board located at the center of the opening's upper section using M8×41 mm square-head screws, taking care to avoid the designated mounting location for the chain drive housing. Use M8×40 mm bolts to fasten the torsion spring center bracket, nylon bushing, fixed flange, and torsion spring together; subsequently, connect the torsion spring to the locking flange. Finally, secure the lower end of the bearing bracket to the horizontal track connector using M9.5×19 mm pan-head screws and nuts, and fasten the upper end of the bearing bracket to the side wooden jamb using M8×41 mm square-head screws.

 

Door Panel Installation
Place the bottom weather seal along the bottom edge of the bottom door panel, and secure it to the panel from the back using M4×16mm or M6.4×16mm self-tapping screws. Position the bottom roller brackets on both sides of the door panel, near the bottom weather seal. Place the #1 hinges at the top of the door panel-specifically at the left, center, and right positions (for widths under 10 feet, use one hinge in the center; for widths between 10 and 14 feet, use two center hinges; and for widths between 15 and 18 feet, use three center hinges)-and secure each in place using M6.4×16mm self-tapping screws. Next, lubricate the rollers with glycerin and insert them into the bottom roller brackets and #1 hinges. Place this door panel into the erected tracks and ensure it is level. Secure the #2, #3, and #4 hinges, as well as the top roller brackets, in sequence to the left and right positions at the top of their respective door panels; use #1 hinges for the connections at the center positions of each panel. Place each door panel into the erected tracks in the proper sequence, and use M6.4×16mm self-tapping screws to fasten the hinges to the panels, thereby assembling the individual panels into a single cohesive unit.


Torsion Spring Winding
Loop the end of the steel cable-the end fitted with an eyelet-over the hook shaft on the bottom roller bracket. Wind the torsion springs according to the specified winding chart; do not exceed or fall short of the prescribed number of turns by more than half a turn. Secure the winding bar to hold the springs in place, then attach the other end of the steel cable to the cable drum. Pull the cable taut, lock the cable drum, lock the locking flange, and finally, remove the winding bar. This procedure involves extreme danger; safety precautions are mandatory to ensure both your own protection and the safety of others.


Adjustment
Manually raise and lower the door several times to observe whether the door body operates smoothly and if the torsion spring tension is appropriate. Then, perform any necessary specific adjustments and tighten the screws at all connection points.


Motor Installation
Connect the chain housing to the motor and secure it in place. Secure the U-shaped bracket at the front of the chain box to the wooden board situated above the torsion spring's central bracket, ensuring it is centered; then, attach the chain box. Construct a "∏"-shaped bracket using slotted angle steel; secure its lower end to the motor using M8 fasteners, and fasten its upper end to the ceiling using two M8×70mm expansion bolts. Secure the hook base to the center of the top door panel's upper edge using M6.4×16mm self-tapping screws, and then attach the hook. Connect the power supply, observe the motor's operation, and adjust the upper and lower travel limits.


Wiring
Run a white sheathed cable (Φ1.0mm diameter) from the electrical switch terminals located at the rear of the motor. Route the cable along the motor's mounting bracket to a point on the left side of the door opening, 1.2 meters above the floor; secure the cable with a cable clip every 500mm, and then connect it to the manual switch. The wiring layout should be neat and aligned-horizontal lines level and vertical lines plumb-to ensure both aesthetic appeal and functional rationality.


Installation of the Pull Handle
The pull handle should be installed on the bottom door panel, centered horizontally, with its horizontal centerline aligned with the bottom edge of the panel's grid pattern.


Installation of the Lock
Use a specialized hole saw to cut the keyhole at the center of the third door panel (counting from the bottom up). During installation, ensure the lock slot is oriented downward, and be certain to tighten the back nut securely.
